Who on am I an what is this page for?

Hi, I’m Callum. I discovered my love of shooting slightly later than I would like to admit, in late 2022, after having multiple major surgeries on my shoulder after a motorbike crash. I can’t recommend it!

I was an avid scuba diver before discovering clay shooting but after having my arm rewired, getting out of the water in a drysuit with wet kit and a heavy air cylinder on my back just didn’t have the same appeal.

While working at a horticultural retailer I made friends with many people and in conversation I was invited clay shooting by a lovely gent called Terry and that’s how it all started, I was hooked!

From there I looked into the process and started my shotgun certificate application processing and by June 2022 I had my certificate and I’ve been living and breathing shooting ever since!

When starting out, I found it challenging to find local places to shoot, many places have their own small group that don’t venture far so it was challenging to meet new people and find contacts at new shoots. So, when I started at Stephen and Son Gunmakers in January 2024 I decided to try and make it easier for new starters, holiday goers or people who have moved to a new area.

My aim is to try and make a page for people of any ability to find new places and hopefully provide some helpful info!
